Tomato – Grandfather Martino

Grandfather Martino seeds were sent to Gary Ibsen in 2009 to include in their TomatoFest trials. The person sent Gary Ibsen these seeds with a note of its history within his family for more than 50 years as their favorite tomato. They have grown this tomato for the past several years and have found it wonderful red/pink, 1-2 lb, lobed beefsteak tomato. They haven’t before this included it on our TomatoFest list of seeds offered simply because Gary misplaced the original letter that included these seeds prohibiting him the opportunity to share it’s history. This tomato is too good to not share it and so they do so now hoping still to attract the misplaced letter from his files, or to attract the attention of the person who sent the seeds for this spectacular tomato variety to remind him of the details of it’s history. Give this tomato a try and you will want to grow it every year.
